Project Title: Heritage Restoration
Project Location: 3199 Lake Shore Blvd West, Toronto
Project Commencement: Spring 2024
Project Completion: Late Summer 2024
Project Status: Completed
Denovo Construction was tasked with a historical restoration project to restore 480 wooden windows across the campus. Our specialized team carried out multiple wood repairs, repairs such as wood fill, sanding, and professional painting to restore the wooden windows. Along with the wooden work, we also replaced more than 35 glass panes in the building to make the structure more aesthetically appealing while improving functionality.

We kicked off an extensive project that involved a wide array of tasks. This encompassed painting and significant concrete work, which we diligently carried out on every level of the remarkable 15-story building, from the ground floor all the way to the top.
Project Title: Through-Wall Flashing and Brick Replacement
Project Location: 1300 Central Parkway, Mississauga
Project Commencement: Summer 2024

Denovo Construction was hired to assist with the project and bring our expertise to the table. As part of our work, we installed through-wall flashings on a total of several panels and replaced over 2,000 bricks in the structure. The purpose of these flashings is to help direct moisture that builds up within the walls out to the exterior, which in turn helps to prevent any potential damage to the walls. Additionally, this is effective in stopping leaks that could occur, although it’s important to note that it might not be as reliable in areas that are susceptible to earthquakes.

This perfectly situated Condominium complex at Kitchener, ON began a revitalization of its facility to preserve the unique architectural essence while making the property more inviting and transparent. Denovo Construction was contracted for this project and we delivered the touch it deserved. The scope of work included concrete restoration, protective coating and sealants over the 11000 ft building. Denovo Construction restored the concrete surface as the existing concrete was faulty. We carried out fine hand textured finish as was required while making the building ready for coating. Denovo Construction completed this project to taste and was able to meet the required time interval.
Project Title: Restoring Nuclear Building
Project Location: 1280 Main Str. West, Hamilton. MC Master University.
Project Duration: 90 days
Project Status: Completed
The Nuclear building project is an exterior wall rehabilitation job carried out at the Nuclear Research Facility of McMaster University. This state-of-the-art project features the removal of existing paint and application of new coating throughout the building. The scope of work done 20000 ft. Denovo Construction concluded this project on schedule with little to no interference with activities at the facility.

Denovo Construction was awarded this demanding coating project in the summer of 2020. Under the contract arrangement, we were required to fully paint the interior and exterior surfaces of the garage mall. Denovo Construction worked diligently and ensured the work area was kept clean and fully operational by co-operating with other trades and experts .

Denovo Construction was awarded this demanding coating project in the summer of 2021. Under the contract arrangement, we were required to fully paint the exterior surface of the building and sand paper all the window framing throughout the building . Denovo Construction worked diligently and ensured the work area was kept clean and fully operational by co-operating with other trades and experts . This work was completed within the estimated duration and under required budget while we also ensured safe public access to the building during the span of work
Project Title: Wall retaining and Stone Replacement
Project Location: 610 Bullock Markham
Project Commencement: Summer 2020
Project Completion: Fall 2020
Project Status: Completed
Severe damages along the Tennis court and surrounding walls of the Markham Apartment Complex required scrupulous attention at the time. Denovo Construction was contacted and awarded the project in the summer of 2020, work started nearly immediately and was ongoing nearly every day. Our crew were diligent and made great progress at the very onset. The work required stone removal along the tennis court of the condominium and installation of new ones, also replacement of the stones around the Patio area along the parking lot. We also needed to remove the coping of the wall which we put back after laying out the walls and putting new gravel which will serve more efficiently. This work was completed within the estimated duration and under required budget while we also ensured safe public access to the building during the span of work.
Project Title: Balcony Restoration and Exterior Coating
Project Location: 36 River Road East, Kitchener, ON.
Project Commencement: Late Summer 2021
Project Completion: End of Fall 2020
Project Status: Completed
In the late summer of 2021, Denovo Construction was awarded the restoration project at the rental apartment building at 36 River Road East, Kitchener. It was at the time the building required and excellent retouch. The task involved concrete repair and waterproofing (membranes) of all the balconies around the building. Denovo Construction expertly replaced over 1500 bricks and neatly filled the mortar head and bed joints. We also accomplished a complete exterior protective coating on the entire building which was metal, brick and concrete. Denovo Construction applied the special protective coating while passing every stage of inspection through out the job. Swings stage and Genie lifts were used to easily access the work area (building) and necessary precautions were taken to ensure the safest possible project. It is noteworthy that we kept the building operational in the course of this work by providing various overhead protection and pedestrian walkways.
Project Title: Routing and Sealing Cracks
Project Location: 5353-5343 Dundas Street West, ON.
Project Commencement: Late Summer 2022
Project Completion: End of Fall 2022
Project Status: Completed
This project was about routing and sealing cracks, as the building had numerous cracks. We investigated the crack to not only find a solution for repair but also to determine the cause and address any long-term structural issues.
Project Title: Through-wall flashing and brick replacement
Project Location: 1270 Central Pkwy W, Mississauga, ON
Project Commencement: Late Summer 2022
Project Completion: End of Fall 2022
Project Status: Completed
Water infiltrated the interior surfaces of these two masonry structures at Oxford College Mississauga, which were built with solid brick walls. Denovo Construction was contracted for this project. On these two buildings, we did through-wall flashings on eight panels, and replaced 2,000 bricks. A through-wall flashing profile was used to divert moisture trapped inside walls to the outside in an effort to avoid damage. We considered his flashing method because it is the most satisfactory method of preventing leaks.

We were notified by a property management company that the two buildings had multiple leaks. We promptly dispatched our staff for pre-construction processes and procurement, and then we got to work. This project was completed within 6 months. We fixed all leaks in both buildings and any other issue our experts noticed in the course of the job. It was a success.

Project Location: 121 King Str. West, Chatham
Project Commencement: Summer 2020
Project Completion: Fall 2021
Project Status: Completed
Denovo Construction was awarded this demanding coating project in the summer of 2020. Under the contract arrangement, we were required to fully paint the interior and exterior surfaces of the apartment building. Denovo Construction plastered and painted the Nine-floor Condominium having eleven units in each floor totaling to about ninety-nine painted units. In the course of the work, Denovo Construction worked diligently and ensured the work area was kept clean and fully operational by co-operating with other trades and experts so they can all work under the same roof.
